Hi,

My name is Christine McAdam, formerly Christine Silk. I have just joined this site, I started to do a little searching for possible family members after my dad passed away in November 2007, so thought I'd share a little info on my branch of the Silk family just in case there are any family members out there that I don't know about.

I was born in Bristol England, 1958, my parents Peter David Silk & Patricia Ann Silk (nee Cook) also of Bristol. I moved to Vancouver Canada in 1971 with my parents. My father had 2 brothers & 2 sisters all still living in Bristol, their names are (eldest to youngest) Michael, Pam, Gerald & Janet, my grandparents were Arthur Silk & Florence Silk. My dad's siblings are the only members of the Silk family remaining that I'm aware of, as I said my dad passed away in November 2007 & I am an only child. My uncle's both had daughters, so no sons to carry on our branch of the family name.

I would love to hear from anyone who may know my family and think we may be related.

Really sorry to hear the news about your Dad

With your branch coming from Bristol I should think its a pretty good chance you are connected to the ones from Somerset, like Me, Fred, and most of the other Silk's joined up here so far.

Its still early days here, but over time Im sure we can start to piece things together and let you know more about where your branch of the family comes from, and how it connects with everyone else ;D
