Really interesting this one -
1736-1781 - "Jn.Silke,hatmaker"
1700? - "Taylor, Silke, Lypcot al."
1716 - "John Silk"
Most likely all the same people, but notice the changes in spelling - Silk & Silke

“History & Antiquities of County of Somerset” Vol II archive.org Pensford (sometimes called Publow-Saint-Thomas) The church is dedicated to St. Thomas Becket… No date “Mr. William Sage gave ten fhillings for a fermon to be preached in this church on Palm-Sunday, and twenty fhillings to the poor not receiving alms, yearly for ever; payable four days before Palm-Sunday, by the church wardens of St. James’s in Briftol. No date [likely 1674] “Mr. John Silk gave to the poor not receiving alms five fhillings in bread, payable on St. John’s-day yearly for ever, out of a clofe of ground called Little-Field.” Note: A John Silk bur. 1674 St. Thomas, Pensford. He may have had a son John and a grandson John. Note: this is interesting because there are ‘Sage alias Silk’ located in Calne, Wiltshire in the 18th century.
