Heres the connection between the two names - www.ourfamhist.com/ps04/ps04_470.htm"from John Hampson (Genes Reuntied) At the back of my mind is a memory of my father telling me that Tom Silk (Mary Jane's son) was "adopted" or at least had an interest expressed in him by Thomas Hampson (who was his uncle) because he and his wife didn't have any children. Thomas H became a very influential business man, director of the Brockhouse Engineering company, had a chauffeur-driven Daimler, big house etc and he encouraged young Tom. I think the outcome was the establishment of Hampson Industries, electrical and aerospace, in the 1940s. The company still exists in West Bromwich."
