Connection between Trudoxhill & Bristol
You have a topic, which I think you should revisit as it may be your family. It originally came from
boards.ancestrylibrary.com/surnames.silk/198/mb.ashx and has lots of responses which may provide you more info.
Your site Topic entitled Silk - The Iron Man of Bristol from July 2009

IF your line originates in Bristol, there is another place - 7 mi. south of Bristol called Pensford, Som. which has some Silk's.

Looking at a map, there is a main road from Bristol, through Pensford which goes to Shepton Mallet, then going east a few miles from there is your Nunney area. Consider that a first son would inherit the Bristol property and lesser sons might move away. Your area is something like 10 or 11 miles south of Bristol ?? You will need to study the Bristol lines which moved south to see if you can make connections.
