We have not found a way for all of us to build a massive Silk Family Tree on here (yet!)
So to start with we can do threads here where you can tell us about your own branch of the Silk Family Tree.
I will get mine sorted over the next few days to give you an idea of how it could be done.
Dont worry if your not sure what to do, coz as Admin on here I can edit your posts and help you.
If any of you have any ideas of how it could be done better please post them here on this thread, and we can see whats possible.

Welcome to the Silk Family forum ;D Do you have any dates for the London Thomas Silk and Henry Silk? That might help us connect your branch of the family to ones we already know about.

my father's name was Harold John Silk (1922-2007) Pottawattamie county Iowa, his father was John Silk also Pottawattamie county Iowa, the son of Peter Silk (10 April 1828 - 7 May 1890) born in Ireland, died in Montgomery County Iowa. He apparently came the States as a young man with several brothers. He married Delia Coyne, who was also from Ireland, born in 1853 and died in Montgomery County Iowa in 1926. I'm very excited to find this site, as we know nothing of our family history prior to my great-grandfather's immigration to the states.

Looking down your info you should then see "Account Status" followed by Activated or Not Activated. 3. You should see a bit their saying "Activate Now" click that and it should email you a link and activation code.
