Hi Daniel, my name is John Silk from a branch of the Silks that I only have as far back as my Grandfather but came from Birmingham, I don't have much before that but plenty after. Where do you want it

Welcome to the forum Probably good for security not to post info about yourself, but any dates, names and locations of grandfather and further back would be a good start We do have Silk's in Birmingham going back a long way - silkfamily.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=birminghamI don't know much about that branch myself, but at least with your info up on the forum we might find another Birmingham Silk who has a better idea of that part of the family.

I'm from a line of silks's that ended up in Ontario Canada dont have to much to go on up here, there are only a handfull of us down here. Just got back to my grandparents Harvy and May silk not to sure after that if you know of anyway or anyone that could show me down the right path to find out more that would be great

My grandad was Henry Silk born in 1914 who's siblings were Bront Tom Alf Betty Dorothy Esther. From Harrow on the Hill London
